Who We Are

YGK3D is a 3D printing and scanning service based in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. The company is owned and operated by Taylor Sweet. Taylor received his Bachelor's degree in engineering physics from Queen's University and his Master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC). Taylor's Master's research was in the area of additive manufacturing (3D printing), providing him with a deep understanding of this technology. 

What We Do

We curate a catalog of high-quality 3D printed products, including purpose-built functional items and those which are purely aesthetic. The majority of these products are designed in-house by our 3D design experts. We also offer 3D modelling, print-on-demand, and 3D scanning services.

How We Do It

Our print service is facilitated by a fleet of 3D printers comprised of SLA and FDM machines. Our machines can produce components ranging in size from a few millimetres up to 70 cm (~28"). On the scanning front, we employ a high-fidelity, handheld, structured light scanner which is capable of sub-millimetre resolutions.

The Materials We Use

We print in PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, nylon and resin.

 

Store Policies

• All custom orders have a 3-5 business day processing time prior to shipping. We will endeavour to ship orders sooner where possible.
• On some items, lettermail shipping is available as a lower cost alternative to conventional shipping. It is untracked and as such, is offered at the buyer's peril.
• Shipping timelines are provided as an estimate only and not a guarantee of on time delivery.
