This design was inspired by the Netflix hit series: Squid Game. In season 2 the players participate in the traditional Korean game called "Gonggi". It's similar to the North American game of Jacks (Knucklebones). It's a game of dexterity in which the pieces are thrown in the air and the player must pick up the remaining pieces from the table before catching the airborne piece (see below for full gameplay instructions).

This set was designed to match as closely as possible the pieces from the show. In order to get a realistic look/feel I designed this to print in two pieces. This allows you to add weights after printing.

Benefits of this design:

1) Prints support free
2) No requirement to pause print and add weight during printing
3) Accurate size and weight (~6g)
4) Compatible with manual color change (AMS not required)

For the weights, you can use either ~100 2mm metal ball bearings like these: https://amzn.to/3W6ZDX9, or one 10mm ball bearing like this: https://amzn.to/429E10e. Based on what is available on my local Amazon, it's cheaper to use the 10mm ones as opposed to the 2mm ones, but your mileage may vary. I also tried using sand but the weight was only 3g as opposed to the desired 5-6g.

Included Files:

• Gonggi Bottom STL

• Gonggi Top STL

• Gonggi Shapes (Triangle, Square, Circle) STLs

• Gonggi Case STLs

• BambuStudio Project File 3MF

Print Settings:

Layer Height: 0.16 mm

Support Required?: No

Perimeters: 2: Gonggi Top, 4: Gonggi Bottom

Material : PLA (Brown, Black, Yellow, Red, Blue, Green, Purple, White)

General suggestions:

• Print multiple at once to make it more worthwhile
• Add weights after printing, then snap the pieces together

Gameplay Instructions:

Level 1: The stones are thrown on the playing surface and the player picks a stone to throw up in the air. While airborne, the player picks up one stone on the playing surface. Then, the player catches the stone. These steps are repeated until all the stones have been caught.

Level 2: The stones are thrown on the playing surface again. However, at this level, the player picks up the stones two at a time.

Level 3: The stones are thrown on the playing surface. The stones are picked up once in a cluster of three, and the other in the amount of one.

Level 4: The player throws one stone in the air, places the others on the surface, and catches the airborne stone. Then the player tosses the same stone again, but this time, picks up the four clustered stones on the playing surface and catches the airborne stone.

Level 5: The player tosses the stones from the palm of their hand into the air. While airborne, the player switches their hand backside up. The stones are then caught on the back of the hand. Then, the player throws the stones in the air and catches them. The number of stones caught amount to the score.
